Watch the NFL Draft Live Outside the US

Get ready for the 2015 NFL Draft.  Round 1 of the draft will take place on Thursday, April 30th with the final round concluding on Saturday May 2nd.  Watch all the excitement as your favorite college players get drafted into the NFL.  Who will go first?  What position will Winston and Mariota be chosen and which teams will they play for next season?  Find out by watching the NFL draft live from inside or outside the US.

NFL Draft

For the first time in over 50 years the NFL Draft will not be held in New York City.  This year the draft will be hosted at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago.  It will be interesting to see how the crowd reacts compared to previous years at Radio City Music Hall.  Regardless of the location you can expect lots of excitement as teams jockey for position, making trades to fill important gaps in their rosters and adding future franchise players.

The 2015 NFL Draft will be shown on ESPN and their WatchESPN streaming site.  In past year’s you would have needed a cable or satellite login to view ESPN.  If you live in the US or happen to be traveling and have a login that’s still the way to go.  However, if you do not have a cable or satellite account there is a new service called Sling TV that includes ESPN.  The service costs $20/mo. and you can sign up for a 7 day free trial to watch the draft.

The trick is accessing WatchESPN or Sling TV from outside the United States.  Both services will block users from outside the US.  That’s where a Smart DNS service comes into play.  By using a Smart DNS like Unblock Us you can unblock streaming services like WatchESPN and SlingTV from any country in the world.  Smart DNS will help you avoid the geo restrictions on sites like Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Now as well.

Here’s a quick look at the schedule for the 2015 NFL Draft:

  • Round 1 – Thursday, April 30th at 8:00 pm EST
  • Round 2 and 3 – Friday, May 1st at 7:00 pm EST
  • Round 4 thru 7 – Saturday May 2nd at 12:00 pm EST

Best Smart DNS to Watch The NFL Draft

You have a few Smart DNS services to choose from. When it comes to streaming live events you want to make sure the company is reliable and ready to unblock the channels you plan to watch on the device you plan to stream them on.  The last thing you want to do is get ready to watch the draft and be disappointed.  Visiting a site only to be greeted by a restricted access message is never fun but it’s especially annoying when you’re trying to watch your favorite team draft their future stars.  Here are some services that are up to the task.

The Smart DNS providers listed above offer free trials. The trials are open to all new members and do not require any payment information. The companies understand you need time to test their services. Just enter your email address and test out the services free of charge. The free trial will give you plenty of time to watch the draft and test other channels.

Unblock-Us

I enjoy using Unblock-Us for live events. The service is easy to set up and is quite reliable. They have a full list of channels along with supported devices. You can use the service on your PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android, game console, media player and more.  Unblock-Us was one of the first Smart DNS services to launch and has built up a great reputation. Unblock-Us is my favorite because it’s always worked.  I haven’t had any hassles or complications with the service.

For those who want to add privacy protection I suggest OverPlay. They offer VPN access in addition to Smart DNS. You don’t need a VPN to unblock geographic restrictions. A VPN will work for that purpose but it’s more expensive and overkill if you just want to unblock geo restrictions. Some content providers like Hulu try to block VPN’s from accessing their sites. A VPN is a good choice for those who want an encrypted connection.

Don’t miss a minute of the excitement. Watch your favorite team signs their future stars in the 2015 NFL Draft. Watch on your tv, phone, tablet, game console or media player.  Those without a cable login will want to consider Sling TV.  For $20 a month you get access to a number of channels including ESPN.  Please share our post with your friends so they can enjoy the NFL draft as well.
