CBS All Access Streams PGA Championship Live

For all of the fans of golf out there, CBS has announced they will be showing the PGA Championship live on their premium streaming service, CBS All Access. This move has several advantages for users. For one, it allows CBS to show more of the tournament, by following other people and giving a complete view. It also gives users can see the tournament without having a premium cable or satellite subscription.

With internet speeds increasing, the last few years have led to an explosion in streaming services. CBS is following the lead of other popular cable channels by offering live sports on their new CBS All Access streaming service. It is no secret that sports is always a big draw for viewership. Sports fans are loyal, and many prefer to watch events live rather than seeing them later. By doing this, CBS is hoping that people will continue to keep their service even after the sporting events have ended.

If you have a Chromecast or Roku, you could watch the PGA Championship just like you were watching it on regular TV. You would still need a paid subscription to CBS All Access to watch, but streaming to your favorite tv has never been easier. It is likely that CBS will add other sports and events as time goes by to help them recapture some of the market they lost when people started “cutting the cord”. Cord cutters are people that do not agree with paying the inflated prices of cable and satellite services. As more and more users move toward watching their TV over the internet, we can only imagine there will be more opportunities to view sports on premium streaming services. We have to wonder if there will be a time when more sports events will move to premium services exclusively.

However, if you are one of the cord cutters and you want to watch the PGA Championship, all you have to do is have a paid subscription to CBS All Access. This tournament is sure to be exciting. Be sure to tune in for all of the action and see if Jordan Speith can win his 3rd major of the year, or if Mcilroy will win it all.
